This restriction can be used to disable the import and export of Internet Explorer cookies and favorites. When users utilize the "Import and Export" wizard on the File menu they will be shown a message when clicking "Finish".

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'DisableImportExportFavorites' using the settings below.

Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

DisableImportExportFavorites	REG_DWORD	0x00000001 (1)

Settings:

User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer]
Name: DisableImportExportFavorites
Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value: (0 = default, 1 = restrict import and export)
